Introduction: Stroke is a medical condition that occurs due to disruption of blood flow to the brain, either due to a blockage (ischemic stroke) or bleeding (hemorrhagic stroke). Furthermore, comorbidities also play a significant role in the prognosis of stroke patients. Therefore, researchers wanted to examine the relationship between the number of comorbidities and blood pressure with the type of stroke in stroke patients at the Neurology Department of Imannudin Hospital, Pangkalanbun.
Research method: This research is a quantitative research with a descriptive correlative design using a cross-sectional approach using the Man Whitney and Chi Square tests.
Research purposes : chi-square test results showed a p-value of 0.702. Since the p-value is >0.05, H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected. It can be concluded that there is no relationship between the number of comorbidities and the type of stroke in stroke patients at the Neurology Clinic at Imannudin Hospital, Pangkalanbun.
Results : of the Man Whitney test showed a p value of 0.000. Because the p value <0.05 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, it can be said that there is a relationship between blood pressure and type of stroke in stroke patients in the Neurology Polyclinic of Imannudin Pangkalanbun Hospital.
Conclusion : There was no association between comorbidities and stroke type in stroke patients tested using chi square
There was a relationship between blood pressure and stroke type in stroke patients tested using man whitney.
